1. I don't know what Noel was smoking when he was bigging that one up, lets say that, could be a grower...
  2. Showman is fairly throwaway it’s fun though
  3. First reactions, Summer of Love, Showman and Landlady for me, need a few more listens...rest are instant wows!

Red Flag Day is the highlight from the rest of the tracks you lot ain't heard yet on the album. Should be a single in my opinion...

Love is Bigger is pretty impressive! Little Things is probably my fave from the album. Sounds better on record than live...
  4. Lights Of Home all day long
  5. Seriously, there is a light, if that don't move you, you are dead inside!

    Chorus is clever as...genius...

Sounds like the last U2 song ever...odd
  6. Love is all we have left - it's like MLK/Beautiful Ghost but more tuneful...sounds like Eno/Lanois produced it....
  7. I think it’s the last album as well.

It’s a fucking new classic, I’m so proud they’ve come through this tough period and produced something like this. It’s mindblowing how subtle the production is.

The lyrical and production problems of the last two records are nowhere to be seen.
  8. I have read the title of this thread and it is completly clear to me!

Glad the album is good, but my 1st listen on Friday will be EVEN BETTER

I'm with you. Not even an unreleased U2 record could tempt me on to Facebook! Looking forward to blasting it out of the speakers.

Hard to see how they can top this to be honest on first listen.

Unless they go weird again with Eno/Lanois which I guess WOULD be SOA

Or go back to Rick Rubin.

Apart from that, I can't see another album after listening to that.
  11. That guitar in 'Summer Of Love'! Oh man!!!!!
