    All the songs are so strong that it is intended to be listened to in it's entirety, it's very hard to skip entire songs or not listen to others when you are playing it. The sign of a good record? Definitely.

  4. To me, even the people who think U2 have been shit since Pop have something to look forward to on this album. The opening track is easily the weirdest thing they've put out since then (in a good way).

    I know a hardcore fan who became a fan in 1984, has gone to around 60 shows since 1986 and he just can't stand Achtung Baby, Zooropa nor Pop. He totally despises them with all his passion. Haven't asked him his opinion on SOE just yet but I'd say he'll like it.

    Yeah, but I really think whether you like the experimental phase or the "traditional" phase, there's something here for everyone, and the quality of the songwriting can't be denied!

    You're obviously right my friend, opinions differ. I just don't know what those U2 fans who hate this album want at this point.

  10. I am an honest U2 fan and a die hard and i have listen to this album 2 times and F'N amazing! Not what i was expecting and i wasn t thinking anything negative about those first singles we heard but they fit in perfect!!! From the haunting first song to making a real man want to cry when u hear "the little things that give u away and landlady" back to back. They just hit u hard.....made me think of people i have lost and my wife....need to listen more and more.....lol
