All the songs are so strong that it is intended to be listened to in it's entirety, it's very hard to skip entire songs or not listen to others when you are playing it. The sign of a good record? Definitely.

I know a hardcore fan who became a fan in 1984, has gone to around 60 shows since 1986 and he just can't stand Achtung Baby, Zooropa nor Pop. He totally despises them with all his passion. Haven't asked him his opinion on SOE just yet but I'd say he'll like it.

You're obviously right my friend, opinions differ. I just don't know what those U2 fans who hate this album want at this point.
