1. I cycle up to 40K every day, to accompany the kids, go to work, collect them, and back. I usually listen to music. Dull music definitely doesn't work when you're cycling with 50kg worth of kids and trolley in the back. So that's a very good test for me, usually. (E.g. as much as I'm a massive fan of Noel G, and as much as he's a massive fan of his own work, his last album, however great, and it is a great album I think, only works up to a point. )

Now, SOE massively passes the test.
  2. Interesting! Thanks for posting.

Bono joked that the band’s feelings are hurt when too many people go to the bathroom or buy T-shirts during less familiar songs at concerts.

Then scale down your business and play smaller venues so you fill them up with mainly hard die fans instead of mainly casual fans who don't give a damn about your lesser known tunes
  3. Love Is All We Have Left must be on of the best things they have done ever.
It is a reminder of how much "too much" pop songs they have released from 00s and forward.
This is the U2 sound I want...
I wish they could have had more of that sound on the other songs on the new album.

I really cant understand the bad critics on GOYOW, I think it is a brilliant popsong.

American Soul is also very underrated...
  4. i think that the charts are out of time and are the mirror of personal tastes, imo
everybody has his own charts :-)

Yep wouldn't take Rolling Stone serious when it comes to U2.

  7. U2's forthcoming Songs of Experience is ranked third, which is cracking effort given that it's not out until Friday.

How on earth do they know?
