  1. I just took a listen to Angels Too Tied To The Ground from the War remaster and I couldn't help but feel like some of the vocals sounded like "new Bono" and not War era Bono.

    I know that Wave Of Sorrow (Birdland) was "new" for the Joshua Tree remaster as was Disappearing Act for The Unforgettable Fire.

    Can anyone confirm my suspicions about Angels? And does anyone know of any other "new" songs on the remasters?

    Also sorry if this is mentioned in another topic; I did a few searches and couldn't find anything/
  2. Angels was recorded for the remaster, as was Disappearing Act on the UF remaster, Blow Your House Down, Heaven and Hell, Baby Tryin To Throw Your Arms, and i think Oh Berlin as well all from the AB remaster. All i can think of off the top of my head.

  7. So to add to this, the "New Mixes" of the Pop songs and Numb on the best of 90-00; are they new recordings? Seems interesting to me they would rework them and never really bring them out on tour.
  8. I think Gone was a new recording, you can hear it in Bono's voice and it sounds a bit more like the Elevation tour version (to me anyway. Not so sure about Numb.

    I love the distortion and how he kind of freaks out in the middle in this version. I think I like this mix best.
  10. Just checked my CD; they all say P 2002 so I guess that means they are new? But maybe not new recordings?

  11. Yeah, I agree - Gone [New Mix] is THE mix for that awesome song. And it was re-recorded indeed, at least the vocals and the middle eight piano.
