1. Actually a pity if they play Volcano and California. I'd rather see Cedarwood and TIWYCRMN.
  2. But I might be too demanding.. :p

They meant something else. When something is highly unlikely and it happens, you sometimes say "He's only gone and done it" - They meant something like that.

And if California does appear, that will make it the sixth track to appear from SOI on the promo tour? Not bad.

  4. Yeah, me too (Cali and Volcano are two of the worse less brilliant songs in the album for me, while Cedarwood and Reach Me Now are two of the best), but it's nice they go out of the most usual songs for once.

Agreed, This Is will see the light of day sometime. I fear for Sleep Like A Baby.

Aha alright, thought it meant something like that but wasn't sure.
And yes indeed 6 songs is good number for 4 peformances. Really hope we will get to hear full band peformances of Cedarwood Road, Reach Me Now and Troubles soon.

Like Casper, I fear for Sleep Like A Baby While imo it is the best track on the album (Best they've done in a long time actually)
  7. The strings fit the song like a velvet glove ♥
  8. Beautiful. Volcano was rough and raw and I love it. Could be tighter and it will be for the tour!
  9. Glad they changed things up and didn't play The Miracle.
  10. UPDATE: Via @U2UKFanFeed, who were at the show tonight, U2's third song was the first live performance of "California (There Is No End To Love)."
  11. They really are nailing Every breaking wave on this promo tour, and the live debut of Volcano was spot on.
U2 are sounding better than ever....Bono's voice is on top form right now. There are not many (if any) 54 year olds that can sing with such passion and youth.
Bono said these songs need to be heard acoustically and he was right, they may not be reinventing the wheel in the studio anymore but my god its a brave move to release an album and reinvent it instantly in it's live format! (the sheer audacity) i love the fact they have a quintet with them as to me it gives a true live feeling seeing a string section as opposed to a backing track that never feels authentic, i hope they can harness this energy and unleash it on their tour.
Bono once said "If you've not been crucified on the cross at the age of 33 people will want their money back" well the the truth is U2 have been crucified over the years but this album could be their resurrection.
