1. I couldn't find another topic with this in (I start all my topics with this I know, but it's genuine - I have looked lol!), but the title is fairly self-explanatory - if someone made it possible for you to go to ANY stadium on the next tour to go and watch the band play, where would it be? (i.e. I guess you could say your "dream venue")

For me, it would have to be the San Siro - great stadium, always a great crowd (check out 07-21-2005 to see what I mean, although I know you can't always judge from a boot alone, but combine that with the DVD and it's like WOW!)

    Thoughts?
  2. My Backyard

    Slane Castle
    Croke Park

Those are the few that I can think of for now.
  3. Leeds refectory at Leeds University (same place where the Who played in 1970, recorded and released, as the best live album ever) OR my school's auditorium
  4. Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts.

AHEM, both of you MA people above should've said this as well.

Slane's a close second, followed by Paradise Rock Club and The Orpheum Theater.

    Nice topic, Harry!

I didn't really think of that right off, and mind you, I'm a Sox fan!

    Gillete Stadium, Foxboro, Mass
Tanglewood, Lenox, Mass (Who played there in 1970 )
DCU Center, Worcester, Mass (it's far from my house, but its a nice place)

I'm so ashamed of myself, I can't think of another venue...

    Or so you call yourself.

They played Foxboro on the PopMart Tour. Would've been awesome to see.

DCU's a ten minute drive for me--I'd camp out for several days to get front row, if they ever came back.

Lucky you, you're near the TD Garden!

Yea, but the indoors thing doesn't really capture U2 well, unless you've got the good seats (really good seats).
Fenway would be perfect for U2. The popularity, the location (right near Southie!), and how close I live from Fenway.

  10. U2 live the 4th of July at the Esplanade (iffy)
    Live at the Boston Common
Live Copley Square (please, that would be awesome)

    OR...

Live from the rooftop of my apartment
  11. My backyard
  12. The New Wembley
