this was a song written by bono and an irish singer named Christy Moore. in this version christy is on lead vocals with bono joining in on the last verse to give the song a really magical lift. its really cool and i recommend you check out [its only a small file]. heres the link :

yeah it just lifts the song to a new level doesnt it.
if im not mistaken, take today [instrumental] from the achtung baby outtakes is in that last verse aswell.
