1. So, I've managed to get someone I know on another forum hooked on U2, and, every night, over AIM, I show him new U2 songs. He seems to love it. I've been mainly showing him live stuff. I think his favorite is COBL. Any suggestions? I've been exposing him to odd 90s stuff early... he loves Please, Discotheque, and The Fly... not Lemon so much, or Numb. I haven't shown him Mofo yet. And he loves all the 80s stuff, as well.

    Any out-of-the-ordinary suggestions?
  2. Get all the early demos here and give him them. He'll love it.
  3. Night and Day, Steel String remix (off the One single); In the Name of the Father; Lounge Fly; Alex Descends into Hell for a Bottle of Milk; if you want to give him a rash, I've Got You Under My Skin (Frank Sinatra and Bono).
  4. I don't know about giving him a rash...but try Bottoms (Zoo Station Remix). Lotsa fun.

And the Salome outtakes as well as the first four albums (Boy / October / War / Unforgettable Fire). Forget Wide Awake In America or Under A Blood Red Sky.

I haven't even listened to some of those yet (although I have all of them).
  6. I have him hooked on Mercy now.

And I have myself re-hooked on Mercy now.
  7. Good stuff.
How about Boomerang II, Your Blue Room, Miss Sarajevo, and Desire (Hollywood Remix)? The live Desire from Dublin in '93 and the Acoustic Desire from Slane Castle in '01 are also very cool.
  8. Bullet The Blue Sky (From the POPMart Mexico City DVD. Absafreakinglutly amazing ) Keep up the live stuff. I think for an album-version song you should introduce your freind to 'Original Of the Species', 'Acrobat', 'Electrical Storm', 'Window In the Skies' & 'The Groung Beneath Her Feat'. For some "propaganda", if you will, I'd also show your freind the "The Fly" video.

  9. Got to go live. Zoo TV and the Point Depot shows!
  10. No BAD live yet ???

    And how about STAY ?

...worked quite fine with a friend of mine .
  11. Definitely Electrical Storm (Orbit), The Wanderer, Zoo Station (Zoo Tv Sydney), WTSHNN (Slane Castle), Vertigo Tokyo, Buenos Aires or Chicago DVD , Elevation Arnhem (1st night), PopMart Santiago, ZooTv Wembley or Dublin, Lovetown Rotterdam...
  12. Why don't you start with the famous hits like Streets or Pride ? This Edges riffs will really take him somewhere new. I think this is the best way to get some new U2 fan ...
