I think LAPOE will get the drop, but I like the idea of POE making a comeback. SBS and BTBS on the Vertigo tour just bored me to bits but Please would be cool.
  2. I also think they should have some covers they play semi regularly, like how Pearl Jam has Rockin In The Free World, and Baba O'Reily among severael others.

Maybe Counting Crows' 'Have You Seen Me Lately' or 'New Frontier'. Radiohead's 'Bodysnatchers' (it's really psychadelic) or 'Creep'.
Live's 'Overcome' (With Edge on piano of course)
    REM's 'Losing My Religion'

A bit like the Joshua Tree Tour, they should start playing Helter Skelter, All Along the Watch Tower and Can't Help Falling in Love again.
  5. I doubt Bono can hit the high notes in Helter Skelter anymore. I personally think some Foo Fighters would suit them, if Bono can figure out the guitar parts.
  6. sure he will try to play guitar, but I doubt the crew will turn the amp on.
  7. In all fairness, he isint that bad. he just tends to used it as a prop on either,

    A. Hard rocking songs.
    B. Songs where moving around doese't make sense.

Walk On, Original Of The Species, and Kite, all have decent performances from him.
  8. fair point, but he wasn't really missed in Slane's Walk On (where it broke). Good in RTSS though

Would be a great idea: then you have more space for other, rare songs (Electrical Storm (okay, we all agree with this should be played live).

I don't necessarily think so, nice song but I don't think it's THAT incredible, but that's not because I'm trying to go against the grain - I just can't say I'd be sad if it never makes a live appearance. And re. covers, again I don't think so - there are the odd few that fit in with various sets over the years, e.g. Helter Skelter and AATWT on JT, or the stuff they covered on ZooTV but it was all of the era, and part of the feel for instance on JT, everything was Blues-based rock'n'roll mixed in with original music like TUF and Streets.

I just don't think there's any need to go back to covers when you think of the amount of songs they have in their armoury to choose from including their own rarities that have rarely ever been played, or indeed never been played - why go for any covers? Considering the amount of songs everyone's suggesting that they should start playing again (not to mention the new material from the new album), I can't see any sense in trying to fit a couple of covers into sets.

And Bono isn't a bad guitarist, he's just no Edge lol

I didn't know it broke. When does it happen?
  11. A crew member comes on stage and removes it half way thought song i believe. I'm pretty sure its Walk On, could be another one though

    Edit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wfjPmDlCB0 at 2:16

he checks his ear piece before that and looks for assistance from the stage hand

I'd love to see U2 have a go at 'creep'.

or even better, 'High and Dry'.
