  2. God, Jeremy, I've been offline for a little while, and now I come back and find your post
I hope you'll recover soon, and as everyone else here I'll be waiting for some good (!!) news.
I'll keep you in my prayers, mate, be strong!!

And if the darkness is to keep us apart
And if the daylight feels like it's a long way off
And if your glass heart should crack
And for one second you turn back
    Oh no, be strong

    Walk on, walk on
What you got they can't steal it
No, they can't even feel it
    Walk on, walk on
    Stay safe tonight
  3. Hang in there... All I have to offer is that when I've been at my darkest moments, these words from Lemon got me through...
Midnight is where the day begins

Wishing you peace and hope, Jeremy...
  4. Aw man, I just found this topic. I'm so sorry. What a friggin' twist of crappy fate. I don't pray to God but I'm sending all my good thoughts and wishes your way. Here's hoping that things turn out okay. God, I don't even know what else to say, exept keep the faith and hope you're not getting too bored or frustrated or down. I"ll work on my 'positive vibes' playlist and post it soon. *hug*
  5. Heres the songs that get me through shit times. I hope you recover man.

  6. Thanks again to everyone for the kind words and warm wishes. It's truly amazing to feel so connected with a group of amazing fans from all over the world and know that they're all really concerned for my well being. You're all great. Each and every one of you.

As far as any medical updates, nothing really all that new to update with. I still don't have any real motor functions in my legs, although they've noticed that I can do a little bit of (for lack of a better phrase) scissoring with my knees (bringing them in together). Not sure if that movement is coming from my hips or my knees, but it's more than I was able to do a week ago when I had my accident. The doctors themselves are all pretty puzzled as to what exactly is happening in my body, which is scary in some senses. They know there is swelling in my spinal chord, but don't have a logical explanation as to why. The plan is to keep me on a heavy dosage of steroids and blood thinners to hopefully reduce swelling and eliminate any chance of blood clots in my spine. There's talk of another MRI either today or tomorrow to see if they can see more now that the swelling will hopefully have gone down.

I wish I had more good news to update you all with, but that's kind of where we're at. The plan will be eventually for me to move out of the hospital and into a rehab facility to learn to function again...most likely with a wheelchair and hopefully onto a walker or cane if the feeling returns to my legs. I don't have family here in Los Angeles, but I was very fortunate enough to have both my mother and father fly in almost immediately and my girlfriend a day after that. I've had a steady stream of visitors coming in and bringing me cookies, magazines, movies and cards which lifts my spirits too. I've listened to almost every song that people have recommended for me here, and it means a lot to me. I'm trying to figure out exactly what tattoo I'm going to make out of this situation, but words from "Walk On," "Fix You", "Streets" and "Three Little Birds" are high on the list.

Thanks again for the concern, thoughts, and prayers.

  7. Okay Jeremy. Don't really know what to say...
I mean: it's probably good that you can move your knees, but that the doctors are 'puzzelled' is a bit worrying.
Let's hope the good news continues and that you feel better soon!

BTW You should try a dutch band called Racoon; it's beautiful. And of course Keane and the Kaiser Chiefs...

EDIT: And never forget: Lemons are pretty good!
  8. mad Jeremy. Mad. Crazy how your whole body can just shut down like that within a few hours. Can't get my head around it
