1. a friend of mine who is doing a paper for her Masters Program is writing a paper about U2 and she told me she was going to include a "spiritual U2" cd along with it and asked me to make a tracklist, so i've done it but have not arranged the song into any particular order, just went through each album and picked the songs that seem like prayers to me. what songs do you guys think come off more as prayers than songs? anyhow, here is what I chose, i'll arrange it later

    1. Gloria
    2. October
    3. Drowning Man
    4. 40 (under a blood red sky)
    5. streets
    6. still haven't found
    7. hawkmoon
    8. Love Rescue Me
    9. the first time
    10. IGWSHA
    11. when i look at the world
    12. grace
    13. yahweh
    14. mercy (this will either be the first or last song)
    15. stateless
    16. levitate
    17. always

like i said those songs just have the overall feeling of a prayer to me....and i can't rationalize why i stopped capitalizing halfway through
  2. must include Miss Sarajevo I reckon
  3. Please? Maybe Kite? Or OOTS?
  4. Bad
    Please
    Running To Stand Still
    Yahweh
    Wake Up Dead Man
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    Peace On Earth
    MLK
  5. Electrical Storm
    Ground Beneath Her Feet
    Three Sunrises?
  6. Promenade

    Please

    Miss Sarajevo

Miss Sarajevo, Miracle Drug, MLK, Mothers Of The Disappeared, Ultra Violet, maybe One although I'm not sure about it at the moment...a song about a breakup, but people do hang on to the "one love, one life" lines, so maybe that would do?

  8. Spiritual songs, than UTEOTW has to be there...

i think you got quite a list right there..

    seems good to me

    suggestions;
    beautiful day,
if god will send his angels,
    crumbs,
    one,
    mothers of the disappeared,
    rejoice

  10. Peace On Earth.

perhaps, i was going for the ones that were obviously about seeking something higher, ala God, something that just was soaked with spirituality the way that Love Rescue Me is for example. I considered Sarajevo though
  12. In my opinion, the trifecta of U2 spirituality is:

    Streets
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For
    Wake Up Dead Man

But I guess that's all open to interpretation....
