Now the information you have all been waiting for.. The new U2start, or U2start v2.5 as I like to call it for myself will be pretty much the same as the U2start you're looking at now. That means, we may get ourselves a new image for the header and some little changes to the menu or some text colours, but in the end the layout will not face huge differences with how it is now. All of this can off course change any minute, just like the rest of the details I publish here
And here some of the things you can expect to see on the new U2start website:
* Bootlegs: Option to download different sources from different download providers.
* Bootlegs: Integrated option with all downloads: download the bootleg from the U2start premium webserver, we have setup ourselves a huge server with more than 120 GB of files uploaded to it. For just a few dollars (don't know how many exactly, still thinking about that) you can download bootlegs from our high speed premium server without the interruption of any public download service. You can choose from different packages, i.e. for a few dollars you can download 100 bootlegs or for a few dollars more you can download any bootleg any time anywhere. We don't limit you on speed or time, you can download whenever you want for the rest of your lifes.
* Videos: Totally redesigned with some great web 2.0 features, Youtube videos will be integrated in the U2start website for example.
* New - More audio: A brand new section on the U2start website with a big new archive where you can find all the ZooTV Phone Calls with additional information (you can use it as an archive, i.e. who called who when), you can also download (and submit off course) soundchecks and a big archive with performances that U2 did with fans on stage with also, additional information on who played what with which instrument.
* New - HQ photos: The new server I talked about above will also be used to store high resolution U2 photos. Only the photos with the higgest resolution and the best quality will be shared for anyone in our brand new photo section. You can also submit your own personal photos. We want to create the biggest online U2 high quality photo archive there is!
And more I cannot tell, but this isn't just all of it! I can't tell too much because there are some big loser U2 websites tryin' to copy us. Please don't ask more details, this is all I can give you right now. And when does this new U2start thing will go online? Well, prepare from a summer release, I'm currently quite busy with other activities bus as soon as the summer bumps in I'll have some more time to spend on working on the new U2start. By then I also release more details.
