That's probably because they wanted to include WOWY anyway, and as it ended with Bono saying good night, well, it was used as the closer. If they didn't use it as the closer, they would have to include 3-4 more songs for it to make sense, to show that the "good night" after WOWY was for the encore break and that there were more songs after the encore...
if only paul greengrass would turn up the full filmed croke park show via "world in action" that's the TICKET!!!!!
