    Ah, I'm afraid that there's little point insulting me, my good man, re. England - I have no great love for them, I'm rather cynical. I talked about it elsewhere...

    I'm a football man first and foremost, then a Norwich fan, then other stuff...I'm more inclined to support England in rugby or cricket because it's always the game that comes first before anything else - but with the England footy team, it's just...

    ...there are no words lol.

  6. Yeaaah what a night, what a game! Can't wait for the match against France, viva Hollandia!

    ...I never realised the Dutch could get worse!

  8. Just a bit of chauvinism Harry. It was a great match and none of us really expected we would beat the World Champions. My guess was a 1-1 draw, but it all went different. Ruud's goal was offside, but I just watched the BBC where they clearly explained that when a player is leaving the field (in this case Panucci got knocked-out by Buffon) there is no word on a possible offside.
    So let's say Ruud was offside but it wasn't offside because of some rule. Anyway...we won 3-0, so it wasn't that decisive. The quick fire-double from Ruud and Sneijder broke Italy up. They came back halfway the 2nd half with some very good changes and a terrific Van der Sar. At that point, we scored the 3th goal and broke Italy. Loved it!

    Cheers to Gio van Bronckhorst for playing the best game of his life. I hope we can continue this kind of form with France and Rumania coming up.

    I understand entirely, I would expect the same of any other people if their team had just given the world champions a good hiding lol!

    That's the beauty of International Tournaments. All cheering for your own country like madmen. Looking forward to Friday already. Will watch the game in the pub then.

    Maybe you will understand why we call it Football. I still don't know why the Americans call their 'armoured rugby' American Football. There are hardly feet involved and the ball isn't a ball. So why American Football?
