Quick update from my end. I was released from one hospital yesterday and transferred to a different one about 30 minutes away, but this one has a dedicated spinal chord injury wing, and it's really the best thing for me now and my recovery. It was 2 weeks straight in the hospital and most of that was just sitting around waiting for whatever test was next, where as this acute rehab facility really allows me to work with occupational therapy, physical therapy and spinal chord doctors every day. I feel great about being here and getting the personalized attention that will make my recovery as easy as possible.
Sensation levels in my legs are about the same as a few days ago. My left leg seems to be having more trouble than the right, and the tingling sensation is about mid-thigh on the left, but just above the knee on the right leg. The doctors and physical therapists are optimistic about my muscles trying to fire when they put me through various leg excersises though, which is really encouraging for me, given that I couldn't move my legs at all two weeks ago tonight.
Thanks again for all the encouragement here on the forums. It's been weird being away from U2start for so long, but means a lot to me to check in and read the well wishes and good luck cheers.
Hanging in there,
jeremy

EDIT- Oh, and tomorrow (the 10th) is my 27th birthday....never thought I'd be holed up in a hospital for my birthday, but I've got some friends stopping by tomorrow night for a "party" to make the most of the situation!![]()
Hey Jeremy. Great to hear the move went well and you're in specialised place to deal with your problem. This is kinda freaky but I was just listening to the exact same Zoo Station lyrics when I read your post! And Happy Birthday for tomorrow. 27's a fantastic age!
