Has there been verification of a 2 CD set for Under A Blood Red Sky? I certainy hope so!

I certainly want the whole concert pulled together on the DVD. Without just giving us the original video setlist with bonus tracks that missed the original cut.

I think they might include all the tracks - not as a DVD but as a CD. Because it'd be too hard for them.

so you say the DVD is the gonna be the same as the Vid, and the CD has everything from red rocks?

i hope its gonna be both but i'd be happy with the DVD!
i hope its gonna be big!

I'd say so. U2 haven't ever included a DVD with just full footage (even Pop Mexico used parts from two nights) and even the recent Paris video was missing both the two opening songs Stand By Me and C'mon Everybody. But the CD may just include the full show. I don't know...I'm just guessing. I put my Red Rocks tape on to DVD quite recently and included the other songs from a bootleg DVD - I forget which it was - as bonus features, so it's all there but not in order. A decent effort I might add too.

alright! yeah, that would be good to, but i hope they put them in as extras on the DVD....even if the quality is not that good it will be a good treat!

ZooTV Sydney, JT Paris and Popmart Mexico were better quality in both sound and picture than Chicago. Which surprised me. So it could be quite decent quality depending on if they transfer it right and not do a shoddy job.

Take a look, if you have it, at 18 Videos at Sunday Bloody Sunday. The quality is outstanding for 25+ year tapes. Again these are the master tapes and the video we have is quite poor. But I love the effects like the fog and the rain...it looks kinda creepy.

Actually saw it today per chance. Picture's a litte bit grainy as you'd expect but it holds up very well.

It really surprised me. Other bands and artists videos look like utter crap after even five years (and I can name about five off the bat) but the U2 ones are pretty good. But new songs like Vertigo and Beautiful Day look terrible. Should they not look better?

The only recently-filmed ones apart from the 3D movie (now that was outstanding sound and picture) that I thought had good quality were both Slane and Boston. The two Vertigo ones had totally under-par audio and picture. You put them on 5.1 sound or even DTS and it sounds worse again. But I don't think Red Rocks would have 5.1 surround being of that time so it won't matter as much. Anyway, I'll be interested to see if Sunday Bloody Sunday is the only song with good quality. It's also to do with how much top-quality a DVD disc can hold - not much for live motion.

A little known fact is that both Sydney and Mexico were meant to be released about ten years ago on DVD but they were abandoned for video releases instead. They hold up well even as video tapes.

i hope they will do a fine job on Red Rocks as they did indeed of paris(never thought the quality would be that good for a 20 year old movie!) for example!
