He might have thought Adam was Bono...
  2. Or, considering its shape, the arch.
  3. I think this bootleg is better than Slane Castle, ZooTv Sydney and Dublin, Vertigo Saitama and PopMart Santiago....
  4. When I saw them at the show in Los Angeles Davey Jones of the Monkees joined him onstage and took over. I wish could've seen Jones' face on the the screen. He looked liked "I'm back, BABY!!"

(Also The Edge's back explodes at 1:00. That or he farted)
  5. didn't know that happend !
  6. 15th anniversary of the Las Vegas mess-up

  7. This show gets way too much negative attention. Staring At The Sun was an epic fail, but they had the guts to have a go at it. The whole show was a bit rough. The rough edges at the start are fine, and they could've taken the easy way out and postponed the tour, but they went at it anyway. I'm jealous that I don't have a decent DVD of it, and wish somebody would offer it up to me. My computer doesn't download video worth crap.
  8. I love this show anyway !!!

    Perhaps the worst show ever.....
  9. I was at that show...it was a complete and utter disaster. I'll never forget as the show went on there was this strange sense that they weren't going to be able to pull it back from the brink. Anyone who says it wasn't so bad wasn't there...it was BAD.

(and for the record I LOVE POP...loved it then, loved it now, and saw them 3 more times on that tour...but Las Vegas was a stinker to never ever forget)
  10. ^ that's an amazing testimony. Thanks
  11. Yeah, I have only heard second-hand stories about that show. It's funny/interesting to hear it from someone who was actually there.
  12. My first exposure to Popmart was a DVD rip of the Mexico City gig. Just like any other curious fan, I went to U2 start to further my knowledge of Popmart and, again just like any other curious fan, I looked up 5 star quality Popmart bootlegs. Las Vegas appeared as the only bootleg with 5 star sound quality, so I downloaded.

The sound quality was definitely worthy of 5 stars. But that was the only aspect of the bootleg worthy of any stars at all. I think everybody should listen to the Las Vegas bootleg so they can understand that the band has the capability of screwing up a show that badly. You listen to that show just once and you'll find yourself more than willing to forgive Bono for messing up One during that first 360 show.

I'll admit that the show gets a lot of negative attention, but all of that negative attention is well justified.
