NPR interview with Steve Lillywhite about U2 and WAR in particular:

    Interesting bits?
    - That previous to the day of the interview, Steve Lillywhite claims to not have listened to WAR since making it.
    - In retrospect, he'd have mixed the violin a bit more low in the mix of "Sunday Bloody Sunday"
    - Drowning Man sticks out to him as a good track. (I happen to agree)
    - "Did we really put a trumpet on the solo of that song?" (Red Light)
    - It's the first album that Lillywhite used a click track with Larry. He speaks of working with Larry for hours to get him used to it. This may also suggest how Larry came to the drum part that he did for SBS.
NEWSFLASH Steve - It aint' the trumpet solo that killed that song, it was dead on arrival.
