1. thanx guys,

i'll see it and let you know..

    can't wait tough!
  2. I really hope that the full gig will be included on the DVD. Why they wouldn't do it? They expanded the footage on the JT DVD, we even got the 'lost' video of RHMT, so I think U2 will use this release as the ultimate 'early years' DVD. I'd better get myself ready for all the promos (inc.Gloria, THBAO, A Celebration, etc.) to be included on this DVD.
  3. To be honest I don't think that there is any point in the remestered versions, why dont they just release all of the unreleased songs on 1 cd????

Its quite annoying tho, I'm just going to download the songs I haven't got!!!

It is just away to make more money out of devoted U2 fans, which I find quite annoying, anyway they have got enouh money anyway!

Oh well, they are still the best, and nothing will ever change that

  4. from the @U2 blog.....

A few days ago, Anthony DeCurtis told me he was writing the liner notes for the upcoming DVD release of U2’s historic 1983 concert, Live at Red Rocks: Under a Blood Red Sky.

We’ve sort of known there was a DVD of the concert in the works, and Amazon has been listing a standard version and a deluxe version, saying the release date is September 2 for the standard and August 19 for the deluxe.

Now here is something interesting: There’s been a lot of talk of a re-mastering of the Under A Blood Red Sky live album, and for a while it seemed to be an on-again, off-again affair. Finally, it looked to be off, but when DeCurtis wrote me he said, “I’m writing liner notes that will be used for Under a Blood Red Sky and the Red Rocks DVD.”

Wouldn’t it be a nice bonus if what makes the deluxe version of the Red Rocks DVD “deluxe” is the inclusion of a re-mastered UABRS CD?

There’s still no mention over at U2.com of either the Red Rocks DVD or a re-mastered UABRS CD. Has anyone seen any more about either of these projects? Any news out there?

While we are waiting to watch the misty mullet in all its digitally transferred glory, we can catch some memories of being there by four folks @U2’s Rashas Weber tracked down for our June 5 retrospective.

    I'm right!
  7. I always suspected a Blood Redy Sky DVD with the remastered album as the bonus. That seems a dead cert does it not?

i would say so. should we expect bonus tracks on the cd? seems kind of funny to remaster 8 songs. the dvd is what i'm stoked about

I wouldn't disagree with the full audio on one CD but would it fit? I doubt they'd do that anyway because it's easy enough to rip the audio yourself. Roll on with the DVD though. I'm gonna be so broke. 2 Versions of each of the 3 remasters then this possible Blood Red Sky release, then an iphone then the saving for next years tour begins. ARRGGHH

well here's some stuff you may/may not want to hear:

the iphone is a good ipod, but sucks as a phone. my friend has the iphone, and he says the quality of phone service is horrible. he thinks all the other features are great - except phone service. maybe with the new iphone it might be better tho

no too worried. My other phone is literally the size of a credit card so no bother to carry about in addition to the iphone. The main reason I want it is for the unlimited browsing and wi-fi - ie. portable U2start on a decent screen

good point! i have an ipod touch.... us folks keep getting screwed over with paying for updates (jan update - $20, but well worth it)

but sometimes when I post something from my ipod on the site I cant go back on for some amount of minutes, very odd. maybe its my connection, because it works sometimes at other places.
