Originally posted by PopfanBiased becuase I was there, but at the end of the NJ show May 17, 2005 - they went straight from '40' directly into Vertigo. Larry's drum solo switching from the conclusive ending of '40' to the rocking beginning of Vertigo was unreal. I was itting a few rows behind the stage and saw Bono pop his head up to tell Larry what he was thinking. I know the boot quality isn't terrific, but the energy of the crowd can be heard clearly.

I say amen to that. Think it was only the second time ever that '40' has been played and not closed the show. I have the DVD and it's a great moment. Bono just nodding at Larry then Larry launching into Vertigo. Brilliance
