1. America lost its best journalist today. I didn't cry when I lost my grandfather. I didn't cry when I found out my wife had cancer. I cried when I heard Tim Russert died. Why? because he reported to and for America. Not Democrat or Republican, but all of us. He asked tough questions and enjoyed politics. FLORIDA FLORIDA FLORIDA. The 2008 election will suffer without his objective journalism and enthusiam. Tim Russert makes me proud to be an American! You will be missed!
  2. Yep, a sad day for the US News world, NBC, MSNBC and fans of his work on Meet The Press. In a job that has so many 'tools' (Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, Katie Couric) Tim Russert was a shining light. A great family man, great lover of politics and the news and a man of intergrity.

And at only 58 years old, it is a sad and poignant reminder of just how precious and fleeting life can be.

Prayers to his friend and family.
  3. He was a great man, and a class act. You will be missed Tim.
  4. I was of course saddened by this loss. Tim was a voice to be trusted in the hard to trust media
  5. I was deeply saddened by this. He was a great man.
  6. watching the remainder of this election season and those to come will not be the same without him
