Every time there is high hopes that spain will do an achievement , i used to believe in that team till tha last world cup it was awful that they get knocked out from the 1st round even that it was from france but at that time the Statics were pointing out that the spanish team will surely win

This partially how I see it too, Spain always get tipped, but often fall away early on. I always say that the teams who start off well rarely finish up the winners, look at the last 2 World Cups and at Portugal 2004; Italy grinded their way to victory in '06, Brazil didn't exactly set the world alight in '02 but won, and in '04 Greece got through via. sheer hard work and determination, and could have got knocked out in the group stages after Russia beat them, but they got the luck. Holland are favourites for now, but it wouldn't surprise me if they fall at the quarters or the semis, and after yesterday, Spain got lucky and demonstrated that they can't do it against decent opposition. Sweden were much better than Russia and it showed in Spain's own displays.

    I'm still banking on a Turkey/Romania final

But to tonight though, what a game between Turkey and the Czech Rep.! Turkey got their just rewards, although you have to feel for Petr Cech - even the greats have their bad days...

  11. What an ending! Turkey was weak until the 75th minute, 3 goals in the last quarter! Awesome!
Still I feel sorry for Czech Republic; they helped us in 2004...
  12. Nice game indeed. The Turkish played with a lot of emotion and power. They'll face Croatia now probably.
