  1. Wow what an ending of a boring match. It's really incredible and unbelievable what the Turkeys can do in the last minutes, they have not more than 17 players available due to suspensions and sickness and such.

    I feel really sorry for Croatia but Turkey was mentally better. They never give up!

    I hope they can be a good opponent for Germany but I'm afraid Germany will be much better.

    one of the best teams in this tournament is out, dammit I'm sorry for you, Yogi, I had hoped your team would make it to the next round. They'd certainly deserved it.

    Croatia, our team will do you justice on Wednesday and send Turkey home

    croatia was a good opponent congrats to what the team achieved, not many'd have expected that!

    oh yeah, I'm hoping for an exciting match, too but in the end I'd say 4:2 for holland!

    Not quite exactly what I expected, but close enough, I guess. After all, I expected an entertaining match, not a boring one with hurricane coda. Still, definitely a moment to remember in football history.

    Congratulations to Turkey. Sorry Croatia; just when you thought you made it you were taken out.

    In our city we have tenths of thousands of Turkish people including some hardliner fans. A lot of people take the game way too serious. Germans, too. I hope we don't get any street fights here during the semifinal.

    you know, this is the main reason why I had hoped there wouldn't be a game between Germany and Turkey. There is rivalry (word?) coming up, and you see neighbors who get along very well in every-day-life suddenly shout at each other... and I don't want to think what happens once the game is over... let there be one or two doubtful decisions by the referee that might even have an effect on the outcome of the game (goal not given, off-side not seen, something like that) -- and there will be fights. So not nice it would have been better if just one of these two teams would still be playing, so both Turkish and German people would stand together and keep their fingers crossed for one team... and celebrate together, know what I mean? And I'm not necessarily saying it must have been Germany to continue in the tournament. Just... one of them, not both playing against each other.

    Well then... let's hope there won't be too much irritations once the game is over

    Wow, not to excited! We played good in the group, but Russia is pretty good too! I'm not so sure that we're going to win.


    I hope for Germany there won't be fighting, Kirsten. We also got alot of Turkish here and it can be annoying sometimes...
