It is a Fender Strat, mexican made, with 70's vintage GFS pickups in it. My setup for that vid is just my strat, into my 535q, into my TS-9 (tube screamer for the 3rd verse) into my BOSS DD-20(delay), all into my Vox AC30 amp.

The Korg A-3 & Lovetone Doppelganger (for the reverse Wah effect) are two things I've come across with regard to people's suggestions for what he uses.
I myself just have a simple Zoom G1X multi-effects pedal - pretty simple compared to other stuff but it does the trick, and I've found a patch that is somehow similar to Mysterious Ways (it's like a cross between Wah and some kind of reserved phaser thing) and, with the tiniest amount of distortion, plus having the expression pedal set to delay, it works a treat. Not 100% accurate, but damn close in my opinion

It's a preset called Funk Wah or something that comes with the SPC-01 card when you load that into the A3. In fact a lot of the achtung baby sounds come from that machine, others I know for sure are the fly and zoo station, and then I'm pretty sure Numb and Babyface come from that machine too. I don't have one though, maybe eventually I'll get one.
Supposedly there is a pedal that can mimic the Mysterious Ways sound pretty well. It's called the Emma Discumbobulator, and it is an autowah pedal just like the mysterious ways sound from the A3. Of course the Funk Wah prest from the A3 probably has other effects like phaser, reverb, flanger, but this pedal can do it pretty well apparently. I might have to get my hands on the Emma!
