1. I've been exploring parts of the sites I've never really looked at before and found the Fan's Favourite songs chart.

By my understanding, this is created from the total tally's of each member's 10 favourite songs in their personal section. So the more members that mention a particular song the more votes it gets.

In February we did a song poll by a long system of voting, through each album, era etc and eventually two songs came out on top - Streets and Ultraviolet. One of these is in the list, in second place, where it came in the poll (Streets). But the other, Ultraviolet doesn't even appear, and Bad shows as the favourite song. Which didn't even get past round 3a in the poll.

I think Bad is an absolutely amazing song and I'm not questioning it's right to be at the top. I just think it's odd that when we did the poll (and most of us joined in) the outcome was so different.

    Thoughts / comments?

Good choices. You should add them to your personal profile, then they'll count towards the list I'm mentioning in the topic.

    Welcome to U2start!

djrlewis is right. just make sure you spell the song names right or else they won't count (perhaps if you could select from a drop-down list that might be sweet!)

also, discotheque doesn't work. even if you get the accent thingy right above the first e.

I love Mofo, by the way!
  5. Do any of you lot often change your favourite music in your profile? I do. It's hard to think of your top 10 songs, it always changes. Older songs or songs I haven't really listend to often grow on me like Mercy for instance.

    And welcome Beaner!

Well no, i've made the top ten once but i think that if i look at that again now, i'd like to change the whole top again... It's very difficult to have an all-time top ten i think... There are a lot of very good songs + it depends on my mood
  7. i reckon its time for a new poll. its true that the last poll was flawed [not that i dont like ultraviolet - i love it in fact] but we should determine the undisputed champion no. 1 u2 song.

having said all that streets will most probably win it again!
  8. I change my top-10 songs many times...at least tha last 4 or 3 songs...the numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5 I'll never change I think

    see you friends!!
  9. for me my all time u2 fav song is one ,for many reasons but i won't go into it,
but i have so many fav u2 songs depending on what mood etc

  10. And the Official Award for the most old topic resurrection goes for this one. 2 years and 5 months.

lol.... this is from May 2007!!

We have a drop down list for your favourite songs now, so choosing should be easier.

Either way, Streets still comes out on top of both lists (most requested and most listed).
