it is mostly that but when it's up close and theres no other decent footage it suddenly becomes watchable

I'd agree if the tracklist was different. The way it is, it's just another Vertigo compilation to me and the "rare trade" label it had is ridiculous.

But since the Saitama shows seem to be pretty popular, many people will like this one. And sharing is always good.

digicam should never be ''rare trade''. Pretty funny indeed. If it had One Tree Hill on there it would have a few extra points but sure it will do for now.

I'm surprised by the lack of Saitama footage. I thought all those in Tokyo were laden with all sorts of camcorders etc. I'd be amazed if this was the only real bulk of footage from the 3 gigs

Yep, seems pretty contradictory to have that little stuff from Japan. But then again, there has never been much in circulation from the shows there...

very true. A fairly distant Popmart DVD is all that springs to mind. Anything circulating in trade circels that you've hear of?
  6. There's also that high-gen shot from Lovetown. But that's all that comes to my mind.

ahh who knows.. I think that anything decent from Vertigo is already out there. Can't imagine theres much from Vertigo that will be on many peoples 'wanted list'. Vertigo is Vertigo which ain't all that great.

I just hope we get more Lovetown footage. I was reading on some board a week or 2 ago that the Lovetown Adelaide gig may have been pro-recorded. Think it was on u2mp3s and the guy is certain that the audio bootleg is from a high gen pro-shot video. Heard anything along those lines?
  8. I'll have me some of that Adelaide show.

Yep, word is that it comes from a Pro-Shot. Same about the famous JT -Denver and Tempe shows.
I never heard more about that - but I've been out of the trading circles for half a year now.

trading lost it's edge? Sure would have been nice trading in the days before the internet took off to build up a collection of tapes and CD's. I would have loved it. I suppose the internet must make it easier (i've known nothing else) but I would have loved all that trading business.

We must get that going one day again - but work is the killer at the moment. No time during the day!

When I started, it was VHS and CDs, then came the DVDs, that was fun. The internet makes it easier to get tons of shows but trading lost it's charm. It's much cooler to get a package with discs than getting a pop up that your download is complete. Also everyone having everything produces much more crap than the past. New compilations pop up every week, bad VCD or even youtube transfers and stuff.

Also, I realized that I don't need to have everything just to have a big collection. I have all the relevant shows - don't need another Vertigo or Elevation audience shot - I don't watch them anyway. I don't need another shaky, grainy 3rd gen Zoo TV, makes me seasick anyway.

So I'm looking for Popmart masters, they usually have a good video quality - performance relation and every now and then I find one.

But who knows, maybe the new tour is that good that I'll have to collect every single gig.
