Here here, it was a great one to debut in lol. I still like the show, personally

WOWY's been performed shit since ZooTV IMO. But I digress.

Disagree that it's been altogether shit since, but it's not the same with the solo - performances like the Milan DVD make up for it, for me; the buildup to the finale for the final "ooooooooooooh" is still great, although Shine Like Stars should be a mainstay...

Well, even though the Elevation Tour is not my favorite, I must admit that the Elevation WOWYs were the best since the Lovetown' ones

I'd have to say Vertigo was the shittiest. Piss poor WOWY's there.

Not all of them dude. Especially some of the later shows, from Saitama and Australia, are quite good. Try 11-30 Saitama, not that bad. I admit Lovetown and Joshua were the best, but still.

Agree re. the Vertigo WOWYs, not all were dreary and in the depths - but to say LT and JT were the best, I disagree! You've clearly not heard of ZooTV...

True..Zoo TV was good, although I like the 92 versions more. Zooropa was different..

But still, Joshua was the best era for WOWY to be played..Lovetown was just brilliant. (I adore Lovetown, so it's hard to persuade me..lol)

    Heh, you and Lovetown, honestly...

ZooTV's up there at the top for me because (well, pre-Zooropa) of the AWESOME solo - just listened to the 1989-12-30 - Dublin, Ireland - Point Depot rendition; twas good, but doesn't compare with, say, Washington or Stockholm (ZooTV) for me.

There's something about the JT and LT versions that doesn't QUITE grab me - I love the solo, I love the buildup, but there's something I can't put my finger on that just doesn't quite do it.

    Each to their own though

True, for it's just the tempo and Bono's voice. While I know he's voice was even better during Zoo. Anyway..to each their own as you said
  12. My review is coming this Sunday.... looks like a cool gig
