Grand, get hold of a backing track or something and sing over it, maybe? I mean, I find it best to try my voice out by singing with an acoustic or a piano, but sometimes if I record it, I find myself flinching lol or just think I sound retarded - however, if people have told you they think you can sing, that's a decent sign!

Ha, I find that sometimes - not the fried chicken bit, the good singing voice on this day, but not the next. I'm endeavouring to get some oomph in my voice, especially on relatively high parts; I mean, I can't do the "oooooh" bit on WOWY very well, tis irritating...but today, after I recorded the Fly cover, I was singing a bit with my acoustic to a backing track, and I was liek "shit, I can kinda sing - ok, I'm not completely in key, but there's something there..."
