  1. Hi!!

    I was thinking about the post of "The Songs That Unexpectedly Appear" (here is it http://www.u2start.com/topic/1441/ ) and I just have remembered when I brought some friends to my house and I put a DVD full of U2 mp3.

    It was all fine until "Pride" finished, and the music player choosen "Lemon" to sound! My friends began to look each other (thinking "What's that!?!") and I realized that Lemon s NOT an appropiated song to show non-u2-fans. Plus, when Lemon finished, it bagen to sound... Party Girl, the Studio version!!! Oh my god, I thought I wanted to die. The worst Studio recording of U2 and it had to sound just after the strangest song...

    Don't misunderstand me, I love all the U2 songs, but in this situation I felt really embarrased...

    Which songs do you consider "embarrasing" to show to other people (no fans) ??

    I always play Last Night On Earth and that ropes them in, then fire up a bit of Vertigo live.


    Though I think Miami sounds awesome. Actually 11 of the 12 songs on POP were great.
  3. also studio version of party girl, i don't like it eater. that's the only song i never listen because it's so bad.

    but the party girl version of under a blood red sky is really good.!!
  4. Yeah that album version is bad!! What about Fire, or the Playboy Mansion? Songs that I heard for the first time, and never want to give it try again!

    such a big difference when they play it live.

    LOL, I asked you to don't misnderstand. I like the Studio version, but honestly it's not the best thing to listen if you're not a fan...

    Anyway, Red Light is absolutely embarrasing...
  7. find it very hard to let other people listen to Miami. Im a huge U2 fan and to me it just sounds like an industrial machine grinding itself to death. wat must it sound like to non-U2 fans?

    it's not great but often i listen to it.

    I agree with you about Lemon LikeASong and I think that Numb is a embarrased song too...

    and some days ago I was listen to Daddy's Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car (CD version) and my mother came to my room and said:"What's that?" (About the begin of the song)
