Sorry, I just noticed your post just now. Yeah really! Came out last Thursday down here, but I just noticed it's only hitting Europe now. Not sure what that's all about. Anyhoo, great watch. I saw it twice in its first weekend but I'm a bit of a Batman freak. Heath Ledger (RIP) is outstanding but I guess you've heard that all before. He delivers on the hype. Believe me.

It's getting rave reviews here too. I'm seeing it Thursday (first day)

  2. 2 recent watches:-

    1. Rambo (DVD)
Very violent. Harrowing watch to start too. Well executed action film if you ask me.

    2. Wall.E

Bloody fantastic. Big grins all round. Superb work

Thoroughly agree on that, messy and gory throughout - no holds barred, you might say. Pretty accurate representation of warfare though, but not for the fainthearted.

On a lighter note, 10,000BC - not as bad as I was expecting, but nothing like I was expecting lol. Couldn't take it entirely seriously, but still fairly decent fare if you ask me.

Great shot at the end with these mammuts attacking these people.

Heh, indeed, the bit where they free the mammoths on the pyramid walkway to go wreak havoc was pretty cool

The only real problem for me was that the whole thing seemed to jump fairly quickly from one thing to the other without properly connecting it all up until the end. In hindsight, it does make sense but you need to take it with a serious pinch of salt lol.

Indeed, not the most realistic kind of movie.

    And that's not an understatement

Like I say though, great fun and real Hollywood fare (i.e. completely unbelievable but thoroughly enjoyable!).
