I did, but the place didn't have them in stock, so we just bought it all seperatly, and it was like $25 cheaper

At the end of the day, does it work for you. That is what matters most. I am not a fan of Ibanez guitars but they've been a favorite of Steve Vai for 20+ years. Doesn't mean they are bad or good... just means Steve Vai likes them and I don't.

Indeed, everyone has a different take on stuff; my mate got hold of a PRS around the same time as I got my Epiphone LP. Admittedly, tis quite nice as far as guitars go, but I can't stand spikey guitars, hence I seriously dislike stuff like SGs etc.

On the other hand, I got the white LP Custom, and I've had a couple of friends say it's too "Justin Hawkins/Darkness-ey" for their liking, and I think "well, I don't really care" lol. I wanted an LP, I have an LP, I'm happy as Lardence. On a similar note, my bro (who has a Yamaha Strat. that he's had for years, and wants a Tele.) was giving my LP a go after I first got it (I was at work at the time), and he told me that he didn't like it, and I just replied "well that's good, 'cause it wasn't bought for you!".

EDIT - I am in the same bought as Jeff though re. Ibanez, I don't like them either but that's ok because I'm not intending to get hold of one lol. Personal preference is a big part of music
  9. Not to overshadow our new budding guitarist (as the beginning is always the most exciting part), but I just placed an order for a Vox Classic Plus AC50CP2 from Musician's Friend. I have thought this over for a long time, and considered going for the AC30...but the AC50 is more powerful, less expensive, and has the control panel on the front of the amp which I find easier to work with than on top as in the AC30. I am positively stoked. What are your thoughts on this? As we've discussed, Edge has held Voxes in high regard for many years.

Argh! I hate to be "that guy" but if there's anyway you can cancel your order and buy from these guys I would do that instead.

    http://www.voxshowroom.com/northcoast/vox/new_amps/ac50cp2.html

Same price. Free shipping plus per there website:

"Why buy your new Vox AC-50CP2 Classic Plus Amplifier from North Coast Music?

Free shipping within the continental United States

Have you heard about shipping horror stories from other stores? We overpack and double box every AC-50CP2 ampliifier prior to shipment..

Your choice of brown or black Vox diamond grill cloth at no additional charge to you.

We charge no state sales tax on amps shipped outside of WI

Tubes that are microphonic are replaced before shipment

We check the reverb pan for shipping inbound shipping damage and we replace the reverb pan if necessary before we ship the amp to you.

Every AC-50CP2 bench tested and burned in for twenty four hours prior to shipment to help eliminate potential "infant mortalities." Specifically, this test is performed in six stages, each four hours long, to further simulate real world usage.

Every amp performance tested for proper operation and inspected for rips in the vinyl or defective hardware personally by DoctorVox at North Coast before shipment, defective units rejected and not shipped to the customer, who else does that?

We do all in our power to deliver you a perfect amp, not just ship you an unopened and untested factory box, as most others do."

I've always said if I were to get a Vox I'd get it from these guys. They really seem to know their product.
