1. so @u2 posted some stuff...funny how its stuff we already knew. as for november 14th, we have yet another made-up date.

if @u2 is so great, why are they posting stuff we already know?

this news on the new album topic is miles ahead of @u2 if you ask me.

.......and it just goes to show how awesome u2start is!

Buddy, you should read before you post such bollocks.

@u2 has posted today an article from the Sunday Mirror. That article obviously just collected information from various sources and made an "exclusive" of it.

@u2 originally posted the November release date on July 18/19. Everyone in this topic is referring to that, so who's ahead of whom?
I trust Matt btw., if he says his source is reliable, I'm positive that the release date is somewhere around that date.

I did read the article first off....

some people here think atu2 is the best site for u2 info. maybe. as for me, i trust 1st hand stories rather than some shit off a website (ie MacPhistly's post and the NLOTH demos). i rather hear the release date from the band themselves, which has been stressed as october something. btw, U2 are making this album, not the fans. go ahead and trust whoever you want, because quite frankly i dont really care. as for me, I'll wait until the band says something.

also, I dont come up with "bullocks"-type info. if you dont like my opinion and or thoughts about atu2, you have every right to defend atu2, however you dont have the right to call my opinion "bullocks".
  5. Its the best, i can feel it.

So 1st hand stories can't be posted on a website? Macphistfly's "news" weren't 1st hand either btw.
Where did anyone from the band say that the album will be released in October btw.?

I respect your opinion and I won't try to drag you to any side but you stated that @u2 only today wrote about the November release - and that's... bollocks.

exactly my thoughts, then again, can it compete with the Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby? Maybe it can, maybe it can't. The Joshua Tree is how U2 got recognized. Achtung Baby was their innovative movement after the Joshua Tree, which turned out to be a success.

Boy + October - same sound, very similar
    War - changed direction
TUF - changed direction, sort of a prequel to JT
JT - a look at america, got them recognized
R&H - continuation of JT, exploring america
Achtung - where they had gotten tired of America, and dreamed it all up again
    Zooropa - Achtung part 2
Pop - another change from U2, moved it to the electronic dancefloor
ATYCLB - Pop supposedly sucked, so they had to reinvent themselves again.
HTDAAB - a look back at their early days while concerned about this age. a sense of duality is seen here
No Line on the Horizon - another change from U2, Pschedlic Pop, how it will sound, who knows yet?

I'm a bit afraid of "psychedelic pop"..what will it sound like?

maybe....The Verve - Man Called Sun....when I listen to this song I feel kinda strange...that's what's psychedelic supposed to do, innit?

November 14th is a Friday. Albums are usually released on Mondays in the UK and some other places - and on Tuesday's in the US. So NOvember 14th is unlikely.

Hence, the Nov 17/18 release day is very viable. That and 'a lil birdy' told me it'd be November 17/18.

Who was that birdy? A secret is something you tell one other person and I'm (not) telling you... child.
