  1. Embrace. Pretty small band compared to some of the names mentioned but pretty popular in the UK. Big U2 fans aswell. Great guitarist, was watching him play a solo at one of their gigs and he just got lost in it and played the guitar so hard that there was only one string left on the thng. Didnt hear a bum note either

    Oasis today as performers are 10x better than they were in the 90s. They branched out a little bit, Noel Gallagher dumped his primitive guitar equipment and they replaced two okay musicians with two excellent ones.

    I know Luckily Noel's a superb singer as well. And they left the best song off the last album (Lord Don't Slow Me Down, another Noel-sung song), so the new album should have one hell of a lead-off single. Apparently after the terrible performance at the Brit Awards, Noel told Liam to fix his voice or no more Oasis.

    Woah woah woah. I recognize that the Beatles are the greatest band of all time (yes, even better than U2, although some of you will now resent me for saying that), but they were absolutely atrocious as a live act. It was before the invention of a PA system, so their music was always drowned out by the screaming fans. All they had were their amps turned up way high. Obviously they made up for their lackluster concerts with some pretty good albums.....

  12. For me Muse was the best live band during a few years. I saw U2 in 93-97-2001-2005 and this year but when I saw Muse in 2007 at wembley I thought "that's it, Muse took the torch where U2 left it in 1997" (i was really disapointed by the elevation&vertigo tour), if you have the HAARP DVD just watch the big screen during "map of the problematic" and then WTSHNN from popmart or how muse enter the stadium and U2 during popmuzik... but since this year U2 took its job back as best band in the world. I really hope that when those 2 bands are touring stadiums in europe next year separately, they will try to show that they are better than the other... we could only take profit of that...
