Dont talk the talk, if you cant walk the walk.

I agree that it is kinda hypocratic.

I'm with you there. But if the US, Russia, Pakistan and so on conceed it to themselves, they have no right to deny it from others. Especially not the US. As fas as I know, there's only one country that dropped the A-Bomb...

In all fairness, if we haden't, both sides would have taken even more casultys in an invasion. predictions said at least a million U.S. alone, and possibly 90% of the Japaneses population would have fought to the death.
  5. Fun fact: I his later years, Oppenheimer (or perhaps one of the other Manhattan Project enginineers, I can never remember) became strongly against the damn things, and was accused of being a communist for his trouble.

"America, go fuck yourself with your atom bomb"

Has anyone else here ever seen the movie "Doctor Strangelove"? Its a about a crazy Air Force colonial who decides to start WW3. Unfourtunantly the Russians have devoloped a doomsday weapon to destroy the whole world in the event of such an attack. It ends with Slim Pickens ridin the atomic bomb (whilst wearing a cowboy hat) right out of the bombay to the target.

As I said, I'm not a big fan of our president
But that's my point...he can't "walk the walk" but you can, therefore, I am scared of what McCain might do, but you really have nothing to be scared or worried about, unless a war gets started buy the US or Israel with us...be sure, Iran won't be the first to attack.

Yes but the US are founded in seing you as a threat, you are the ''reason'' (its in fact China and Russia ..) why the US are develloping their anti ballistic missile barrier.

The ''Evil'' countries are you and Nort-Korea, even you had really good relations in the past whith the States.

And then the Sha got thrown out of power, and evereything went to hell in a hand basket. Anyone else ever read "Guets of The Ayatoyallah"? Its a first class book about the hostage crisis, written by Mark Bowden, the man who brought us Black hawk Down.

In other news Obama is rapidly losing support. Theres also a new controversial book, on him that I'm planning on buying, that tells all of his dirty little secreats.
  11. Some things were better during the Shah's rule...but seriously, do some reading, the country couldn't have continued with the situation he had made in those times. But yes, the revolution went the wrong way...
One interesting point is that if the CIA hadn't taken down Mossadegh, a democratically elected prime minister of Shah's time, things would have been so much different in our country...so much that the revolution wouldn't have happened, and we would probably be a democratic happy country by now
