    lol, I know what you mean by sodding nowhere (notices act of plaugerism in the process ), and yeah I know fuck all about basses so I'm really not the person to give advice lol! I guess if it sounds good and looks nice plus you're able buy it, you're sorted!

    My mum's middle name is that aswell, but she never uses it 'cause she hates it too lol. I'm happy with John as a middle name, personally lol - tis my dad's first name

    Yeah, I can imagine a cross-Sweden trek for a bass would be a bit much too ask. Surely the nearest biggish town or city to you (I'm thinking Göteberg, maybe? Since you saw the guys during the Vertigo show there...) has a decent guitar dealer or two? I guess it depends how near said town/city is lol...

    Yes, Gothenburg (or Göteborg as we say, almost right there ) is the closest big city for me. I hopefully I will find something there They have a big musicstore there calles 4Sound and they're acctually kinda cheap. At least with the newbie stuff.
    But I will see if I can get someone that sells used guitars

    And that reminds me. I did some...joyful shriek... last time I was there. When I and a friend walked pass a Gibson Explorer I guess she thought I was crazy.

    Shit, I had put "-borg" originally lol...but yeah, sounds like a decent plan to me. I'm sure you could get hold of an Epiphone bass or perhaps (more likely) something like a Squier bass (Fender knockoffs) for a decent non-extortionate price
