    No special lenses - It's merely a digital camera and being up nice and close... just like us fans like.

    Very cool. They look stunning! I'm hoping to get GA tickets for the next tour...who knows if I'll be sturdy on my feet by then, but let's hope so!
  5. Speaking of photos on the next tour, I remember seeing them in Portland during the Elevation Tour and the venue (Rose Garden) said that no photography was allowed. (Everyone did anyway though). Is that commonplace? I didn't want to bring my camera and have it taken away though....Anyone ever see/hear of security confiscating a camera during a U2 show?

    I didn't bring my camera the 1st time and the girl next to me had a big ol' one (maybe even a digital SLR). So the next time, and for the other concerts I've been to in the last 2 years, I've just put my little digital camera in the bottom of my purse (sometimes under some 'feminine products LOL) and it hasn't been a problem.

    My prob is that every digital I seem to use has a stupid delay while it's 'saving' the pics. The only ones that don't do that are the digital SLR's which are very hard to sneak in. Anyone have a digital that doesn't have a delay, where you can take several pics in a row (like when Edge is standing right in front of you for a split second or two!)?

    Also, with the advent of camera phones, I think it's nearly impossible to keep fans from taking 'unprofessional' photos of any concert. What they're concerned about are big SLR type cameras.

    Just get a strong friend to stand behind you. I got kicked in the head at a Primus show in college and the guy behind me (a stranger) just put his arms under mine and held me up as I blacked out momentarily so I wouldn't fall the the floor and get trampled. And then just stayed that way until I could get my legs under me again (10 minutes or so). He didn't even try to cop a feel or anything! LOL! As Stella said, "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers"

    I have the Nikon D50. I think it'll take 3 pics a second when you select a particular mode. It's kinda big though, so I don't know if they'd tell me that I couldn't bring it in.

    My father owns a Nikon D70 (even bigger and heavier than D50!!) and he has managed to bring it into The Police, Ruben Blades, Alicia Keys, Sting and BB King concerts without any problems

    Good to hear! I went to a Dropkick Murphies gig over the New Year or something (might have been Feb. or March), and it was more a fight for survival than a musical experience lol. I'm a pretty big guy, but there were people there who made me feel anorexic and weedy (men and women!), I was living on adrenaline the whole night lol.
