    SYCMIOYO makes my ears bleed.

I'm not talking live lol, I'm more referring to the albums. Live, I agree, I'd prefer Trip to SYCMIOYO because it's set up better lol. But yeah, despite the fact we're mainly focussing on live material, I just wanted to refer to the source material for comparison.

This has got to be a record though - one of my topics has lasted longer that 2 pages (with 12-post-per-page settings lol)!

    not better, just different.

Lovetown was the last show bursting with energy. Zoo had some freakin' good shows, but there wasn't that much of surprise...

    You're kidding right?!

Lovetown was just all out. Most of 1992 was on Lovetown par. Things took a dip for 93 and Popmart was just amazing. Sure Bono had no voice but he had the persona, the body language and the overall essence of a man giving it his all .

Si signore . Re. PopMart, just watch the Mexico DVD and tell me the man isn't enjoying himself. Positively jumping all over the place during the whole show, voice or not. And I mean, Please>>Streets, he IS the song, rather than just singing it. And re. ZooTV, I agree too - the early legs, especially the first Outdoor Broadcasts were mindblowing. Not to mention they had WGRYWH ...

This isn't to say I don't like other live stuff, but I just think one should recognise the different in quality between certain tours as live productions.

haha, you know how difficult it is to have a complete different opinion than almost everyone else in this thread (oh wait, I forgot about song survival, lol) ? but you're right "we get to carry each other" nonetheless

Heh, I do indeed, I'm no stranger to being the odd one out lol. Fuck it, we're all here because we love U2 (to differing degrees, maybe), but that's something to point to lol, i.e. we do agree on something at least
