  1. (I swear this has been talked about at length on here, but searching for topics on it yielded nothing. My apologies if there is another topic on this already and I accidentally skimmed past it. )

    I was just curious to see which pre-album era you've all actually witnessed. Us newer fans might just remember the release of Bomb, but I'd love to hear about the pre-Internet-days of Achtung Baby and the baby-Internet days of Pop, and everything before that. What sort of hype surrounded those albums, and does it differ a lot from the anticipation of these last two albums?
