Unless they at least generate one top ten US hit (possible... I'd say likely, with downloads factored in), there's no chance in hell.
Unfortunately, in general, we in the States listen to crappy music. If it can be called music. *shrugs*

I agree with you in some sense the sounding is more condensed and it's a little more intimate but U2 are due for a large tour production

perhaps another Zoo TV esque tour? Indoor shows then bring it on outside? For the past two tours theyve played the Garden, they havent played in Foxboro since PopMart, but I dont mind. They should play Fenway Park in Boston (a baseball stadium), to combine my love of two things: U2 and the Red Sox![]()
Originally posted by digitizeIt would be nice if they could bring the show both indoors and outdoors in the same leg, like TJT Tour, but if they go for stadiums, they'll want to go all-the-way (Zoo/PopMart/Vertigo-type production), and I don't blame them. And it would be difficult to carry two different sets around 'merica.
The problem is that the North 'merican market varies greatly place to place... sure, they'd sell out stadiums in NYC, Boston, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Seattle, and probably Houston... but would they sell out a stadium in Syracuse, NY or Hamilton, ON?
Originally posted by digitizeI personally would like to see something like Zoo TV... arenas during the first leg, where they visit the major cities and play once or twice, and one show in all of the smaller markets (probably Austin). Then come back like crazy for the third leg, fresh out of stadiums in Europe, to the bigger markets in the U.S. (the aforementioned cities, plus some [hopefully Austin!!!], and often multiple shows in each), all in stadiums.
