Not to say that you'll never make it big... just an alternate reality.

Aspiring screenwriter, actually. I've lived here 2.5 years, and it's been a good experience, but I'm starting to really question what I want out of life, and if I want to rent an apartment for the rest of my life.

I don't know if he'll really ask that, I mean....hopefully he'll know me well enough by then that he'll know what my plans are and how I'd provide for her. Maybe it's just tradition?

ps - they are British, if that matters?

LOL! I like it, the location, that is.

Just came across this, a clip/leak/thingy

I know what you mean about renting and raising a family and whatnot. I thought Tucson would be a good place for that (raising a family) but I'm not so sure. At least the house was cheap! When would you move, if you do? Or is this just a twinkling of a thought?

Interesting little clip...I like the "Walk Out into the streets with your heart out" bit. Love hearing Edge screamin' out his little background vocals too.

I'm not sure as far as a timeline. At this point, I'm just mulling things over. I did just sign a 6 month lease, which is a bit unfortunate, since my heart really isn't in LA at the moment.
  6. PM right back atcha.

The 6 month lease might be a good thing, though. Keep you from jumping in to anything too fast, ya know? Where's your family again? Is your mom still staying with you?

I'm so nosey. Feel free to tell me to piss off at any time!

    Nope, no problem!

My mom and step-dad are here until Saturday, helping me get used to things here and get set up. I'm actually incredibly grateful for their help, especially my mom, since she's been here since the day after my injury. THey're from Minnesota, and my dad and step-mom live just south of Seattle. I do have a brother and sister-in-law in Portland still.....
  8. I totally wish I was closer to my family. Most of them live in the Bay Area and one of my brothers is in Brazil. Can't afford to move either of those places. *sigh*

We are talking about transfering the Zooey tribe to the UK/Ireland in a few years though, which would pretty much rock!

SWEEEEEET! What would you do there? Actually, since my GF is a citizen of the UK, we've talked about moving there too.....at least she could get health insurance there, since she can't here. Our country's health care system is F'ed.

Don't know. I'm looking at a Fulbright or a teacher exchange program first, so we'd just go for 9 months. But we've also toyed with the idea of moving permanently. or I might study Irish Lit, 'cause what the world needs is another over-educated teacher!!! LOL But Mr.Z's mom is in poor health so nothing's going to happen until that is resolved one way or another.

Well, aren't we just a ball of sunshine tonight?!?! No wonder the kids ran off - LOL!! Anyway, it's 10pm and I've got a meeting at 7:30 tomorrow morning so I should head out.

So good chatting with you. Keep the faith, man -you and that good lookin' girl of yours!

Thanks very much....It means a lot. Take care, and I'll talk to you soon!

(back to watching bad TV....."I Survived a Japanese Gameshow." WHY!?!?!?)
  12. I just realized...when America pulls the plug on analog TV... a lot will end. Free TV for a lot of people, and it would be impossible to pull off Zoo TV in America! No more possible channel hopping during a concert!
