Haha....well, I was in rehab for a while, so it was only my first time. Is it out there?

I remember you commenting on it earlier (the fate of Two Face) so I thought this might have been a second outing for you.

It came last month down here, about a week before Europe. The 22nd of July or something. I may see it a third time before it runs out which would be a first for me.

How's the response to Mr. Ledger's performance? They're talking Oscar here already, which is surprising because of the film's genre, but I completely think he deserves it (and think he'll win).

Yeah, there's a very strong buzz down here. I don't think I've heard or read anything that doesn't dispute that he delivered on the hype. Such a shame that he's no longer around to enjoy the plaudits and reprise the role (although he's the type of actor that would have probably refused a reprisal). Such a great film series, easily surpassing the original ie Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher movies.

For sure. The Schumacher ones were especially pathetic.

They were just too silly, like the T.V. series of the 1960's. They got Mr Freeze's outfit pretty good (that's pretty much what he looks like in the comic books) but everything else was just too stylised and over the top. Christopher Nolan's gotta stay on as director.

Ha. LOL. I remain very sceptical about introducing the Riddler. Penguins a much fit for the darkness ad gloom. And Johnny Depp and Angelina are too big for these movies I feel. Exhibit A: George Clooney and Jim Carrey.

I think the Angelina Jolie idea is a terrible one, but I thought Johnny Depp would be a great fit....
