numb debuted July 6th in Rome...I had to lower the bass down

Compare Zoo Station of yesteryear to the Vertigo Tour, and the latter kicks its arse by a considerable margin in my opinion - Edge's guitar breaks through like a lightning bolt and Larry's drums blow your head apart.

true....but I kinda like the way the Zoo versions sound....how much passion was in the music. Cant really say that with some of the Vertigo shows

lol true, but I more meant Edge's tone than anything - it's different and more standout. But yeah, the bass on Larry's drums in later performances fits the feel of the song more, whether that's technology or a musical difference, I can't say but I know which I prefer

I think there was passion in both, personally, it was different in its presentation though.

True....just wish Bono didn't really have to have a speech before One on every night of the tour.

Are we more talking about tours than actual performances of Zoo Station then? 'Cause if that's the case, then I agree but as a spectacle and musical item, ZooTV was much more up to it lol. But yeah, Zoo Station? Only one winner for me

yeah, I agree that the Vertigo ones were better by FAR

The version on the WITS single, blows your mind of how anything can be that good

well, I think its equal to the one on the boot here, but you can't hear the bass (drum) in the intro. That edit was the only neccesary one, imo

The bass wasn't just edited on the single version, all Vertigo versions were like that, but I'm sure there was a bit of editing to clean up the soundboard recording etc.
