Can we keep all the political topic stuff behind us? It's in every topic now and there are people who get frustated by it....(ME! and probably a few more)
  2. Thanks for this one, OP and re-uploader! I've never heard a Coldplay show, but I bought Viva a couple of weeks ago and am really enjoying it.
  3. I was at the Philly show, and I have to say for the most part that I was pretty let down. This was my fifth time seeing them (twice on AROBTTH and twice on XandY). The AROBTTH tour was fantastic because it was raw, stripped down, simple, and the band was just young and eager to impress. The X&Y tour had some new interactive elements that made it great (the countdown clock at the beginning, the running to the back of the arena, the light show, and ending climactically with fix you). But I was let down by Viva La Vida tour. I think the band has a lot of work to do. There were a lot of holes in the set with little flow between songs. Some of the songs lagged, and the setlist had some problems (ending the first set with Death will Never Conquer was so anti-climactic) and then coming out and finishing the show with Green Eyes and a song I'd never heard before was just a terrible idea.

And can I just say finally that if Coldplay wants to compete on the same level with bands like U2, Radiohead and Muse (because they charge more for tickets), they need to be impressive, stunning. I don't want to pay 50 bucks for nosebleed seats just to hear Chris Martin joke around all the time and make stupid mistakes because he's under rehearsed. It's hard to take a band seriously when they present themselves like Coldplay does. It's disappointing to say the least.

I walk away from U2, Radiohead and Muse with my soul on a whole different planet and my mind absolutely blown, while asking for more and more and more and more, but somehow satisfied at the same time. I don't get that with Coldplay.

Quite a post mate. I never attended a Coldplay gig but i can imagine your thoughts here. The gigs I heard don't have the feel compared to a U2-show or Radiohead etc.
  8. Thanks Casper!
