Don't lie, you'd pick city too!

Lol, you see, my Italian blood stems from a long line of rural Italian farmers and no, I didn't lol, I can't stand cities. Norwich is bad enough, but London drives me crazy. The only cities that I quite like are Liverpool and Berlin (based on personal experience, that is)

You don't like London??? I stayed there for a week two years ago and I didn't want to leave!! Piccadilly Circus, Notting Hill...gosh. And you call yourself a Brit...

I thought Norwich was a rural town? is it a city?

@ the last dilemma: Viva la Vida. Life over death.

    U2 or Coldplay?

    ...just kidding.

    Jon Stewart or Stephen Colbert?

I am a Brit lol, for my faults, I hate London lol. I don't know many Brits who genuinely like it, but I don't know the entire population of the UK . And Norwich IS a city I'll have you know, hence the football team is called Norwich City

Ahhh...I see. (:$ at being an Anglophile and not knowing this). I see your point, though--I get sick of the city I live in, and even Boston, since I've been here my entire life. The world is quite big...many citiies--and countrysides--to see.

Ah, you see, I live in the country anyway, or at least a more rural part of Norfolk, about 25 miles south of Norwich, but I have spent the last couple of years studying in Norwich (and hopefully the next few years at UEA, the Uni. in Norwich if I get in) and am not all too fussed about it, but I prefer it to bigger cities. Being brought up in the country, you appreciate the freedom (of sorts) that comes with the territory, whereas I have friends in Norwich and the surrounding area who are so out of touch with anything that isn't cityish. Don't get me wrong, I still want to go about and visit cities around the world (e.g. in the States, Europe etc.) but I would never want to live IN one...

I think that's a great way of life--it sounds like you've got a good perspective, being outisde of the city enough to look in on it and see what you don't like about it.

Best of luck getting into Uni. Norwich. I'm sure you'll make it.

Thankyou! I think I need all the support that's going lol, I'm pretty nervy about it all, really dreading tomorrow in fact!

A uni. you want to go to but need higher grades than one you'd rather not go to but has an easier set of target grades?

A uni you want to go to, definitely. You can never re-live your university experience, so go where you really want to go, and have faith you'll get in, despite your grades
That's encoruagement for you Harry, if you didn't catch it. Do you find out tomorrow, hence your nerves?
