Did I mention they got into a fight one night, and he shout out her tires with a pellet gun?

    Wow, Anderson sounds AWESOME.

Other than that, it's not too bad. Although I will be moving out of Anderson, once I go to college. I love Indiana, I'm just not particularly fond of Anderson...
  3. Sorry I stepped away for a bit there...I was just going through today's mail and got a notice from my health insurance company that a claim from my rehab center of $97,720 was rejected.

    *GULP*

Yeah.....no kidding. I mean, I think I'm okay, but I'm just nervous about calling on Monday to have someone explain what this...I've been healthy my whole life, but this whole thing has shown me just how messed up the medical system in the US is.
  6. Yesterday I received 3 bill notices from my insurance company. I don't have to pay them, they're just showing me what my rehab was costing them. Those three bills totaled over $285,000.

Yup. made me want to move to Europe!

Although (and some of our English members can correct me if I'm wrong) my girlfriend's family is all still back in England, and they were saying while everyone has the right to healthcare over there, it just takes forever to get it. They were impressed at how fast I got into a rehab center and started my recovery. It sounded like they'd be waiting a few weeks if not months for a spot to open up in rehab, while I basically went right in after being cleared by the hospital.

I got the impression that Canada's universal healthcare plan was similar in that everyone has the right, but you might be waiting a while. I will say it's absolutely amazing that the Guantanamo Bay prisoners received the quality healthcare that they did. Just goes to show you how screwed up our healthcare system (and government) is.
  10. Wait a minute, are we talking about politics?
