1. Well until the next tour we musst do it with the old stuff.. so here a couple of videos of the vertigo tour 2006
i don't know if it's already posted on this forum, but i found on youtube 5 pro-shot clips
from the vertigo tour in sydney & Melbourne
posted by u2gigs... thanks for that
wel it's a 1-cam proshot footage... but the quality-sound of the recordings are just a pleasure to listen

here is 1 of the videos: city of blinding lights from melbourne
(watch the other videos at the youtube-account of the poster u2gigs)
    enjoy

  2. Wat i really wanna know is, is this really a soundboard recording?? i know its one camera cuz it sounds really good but is it better than the one thats here already??
  3. pretty clumsy pro-shot
  4. would be great if that guy can extract the original audio...

the same for that willie william's clips that me made of U2 with the hidden camera's... clips of Crumbs during soundtrack etc.
  5. One thing I notice is that there is absolutely zero audience mixed into the soundboard feed... it's kind of lacking something. But it makes me think that the audio feed could be used in the future for something...

Also, on U2torrents, I looked up that Melbourne show, and the person who posted it (the audience recording, obviously) said that there were cameras up and filming the whole show... and not the digital 3D ones.

hmmm....maybe they just record a few shows in the tour and then choose wheter or not to release it.

and btw: there are always camera's.... for the shots that will be projected on the screens etc.
  7. The cam wud appear to have been located down by the mixing desk so maybe someone was able to get access to the audio feed with their camera. Unlikely but that wud explain the crap video but soundboard audio.
  8. definitely amateur video but that's definitely soundboard sound!!!

hopefully the guy that has this can come forward and upload the whole show or extract the audio for a bootleg... some from the 19th in Melbourne would be awesome too!!

just a quick question... do you reckon U2 would have some sort or archive with soundboard recordings from every concert they perform???

I remember reading somewhere that they record every show 6 times........

  11. anyone ever tried writing to them to request shows???

just on the Melbourne subject, the awesome audience recording would go awesome with that soundboard!! possible matrix in the future to get the crowd noise
