Not sure if this will take off, but if anyone here writes; whether it be poems or whatever; go ahead and post it here. I do write poems so maybe this is just shameless self promotion, but let's be creative and share our ideas! I'll start, I wrote this a few minutes ago

the heart is strong in the world, it beats and beckons you towards me
it knocks on the door of my spirit and calls it closer to me

I am in the world and I am of the world,
the world welcomed me and so I welcome the world

the world has offered me saviors and heroes,
and to the world I am greatful
the world has given me a great heart
and with it I love the world
and with it I use it as a spotlight to find your heart and hold your love

this is one i like called "I left your heart to burn"

I left your heart to burn
I set it aflame, I rejoiced in its warmth
I comforted by darkness in its light
I laid my death in its life

I left your heart to burn
I left the flames to rise in grace
and in solitude,
hoping it would catch another man on fire
and there he could take the ashes of your spirit
and scatter them across his body
and scatter them across this land
and let your spirit play crop to the hungry fields

and then he saved a few and placed them in a spice-box
to let you simmer forever until death has done us part, until death has done its part

I think bono should read some of this and get inspired! i just read some of these and i love it. i write (horribly) every now and then so iff i find some ill post them. i know its a happen for a 16 year old dude. lol
