  2. Has there ever been a difference? Politics in many respects is entertainment. Politicians tell people what they want to hear and what the media want to sell.

    Yep. But setting up an event where the candidate is expected to present his policy like a mass or a rock concert still is something different. Also all these plates/signs look strange to european/german eyes. And the fact that some people obviously tend to vote for the candidate who likes the right music...

    What plates and signs? But yeah, Obama clearly has fine taste if nothing else

    Ah, I haven't paid that much attention to the elections so I haven't really come across any signs as such, thanks for the pointer though mate . However, I did see the bit where Obama's daughter blew him a kiss, a little bit too kisch for my liking lol...

    In Europe (at least here in the Netherlands) it's most of the time more about the thoughts and visions of the politicans...
    I always get the feeling that in America it's more about the person itself....
    I could be wrong tough, not really into American elections lately....

    I like Obama's taste in music, but I'm not voteing for him.


  12. Bill Clinton's speech a couple nights ago was prettyy good, but it depressed me to see him giving in to Obama.
