1. Just saw it, Adam's hair rocks indeed! And...they both look so young...

    Thanks Dan

  2. Of course I read it, can't remember the part which you are referring to.
  3. It's on page 149 - in the Unforgettable Fire section.

    "Bird List" - "Osprey...Seagull...Thrush"

    Fancy that as the new "Wake Up / Everyone" tune for the new tour. Imagine the reactions. He's gotta release that one day. Thanks for the article Dan.

  4. To my understanding this is not something Edge said but just a remark by the author on what release date can be expected.
    Having in mind that the interview seems to be several weeks old, I stick to the November release.

  5. Whoa, chill Winston lol I was just checking - it wouldn't be a crime not to have read it lol, I was just checking before I went any further, but Drew summed it up pretty well;

    Indeed. Edge or Bono mentioned how they wanted to bring Eno onboard and that the record company had their doubts after one of Eno's recent projects was this thing called Bird List...I think the term was "avant garde rubbish" or something...

    lol, that would be stunningly uber!
  6. Just read that part, couldn't remember it. My book's in Dutch so.

    Would be stunning as a opener... looooool!
  7. Chris Blackwell, the founder of Island Records said it. "Avant-garde nonsense" is the exact phrase.

  8. Nice one Drew, didn't have my copy to hand and (shockingly) I haven't read it in a few weeks....

  9. I only checked for the reference. I haven't even read the whole bloody thing yet.

  10. Ah well, you will in time lol. I got it last Xmas? Read it in about 2 days, but it wasn't like I had anything to detract my attention from it lol, I just can't remember ALL the fine details
  11. Honestly I haven't read too far into the Elevation section. I always get bored of the book by the time I get to the ATYCLB sessions in the book. Because more than half of what they are talking about (especially Bono, and he talks most in the book) are all about politics and political events and stuff. It just got really boring for me. To be honest I don't really care that much about they're political side. I support them, It's not like I don't respect what they're doing, but I really only want to read about the music when I read a U2 biography.

    I skipped that part no, although I'm interested in politics. I just wanted to read about touring and the songs.

    Just bought the Flanagan book (second-hand)... it's a good read right?
