It's been said a lot....it's not that people dislike trip, the Joshua Tree is just such a strong album, and something has to give...and it's Trip for most people. Although, I do prefer it to the album version of "mothers". Trip isn't really a weak track, it just doesn't fit in with the rest of JT. I've read on a lot of forums that people feel that Heartland sounds more like a JT-style track, and that Trip, with the bluesy vibe, would work better on Rattle and Hum. All personal opinion though...
